Got both a 4.3 inch gd3 and a 7 inch gd3 shield today. I can insert the shield into Arduino Uno. However, when I try to insert it into Arduno Mega 2560, the round connector from gd3 shield interfere with Mega 2560's USB connector and the shield can not work.
James, is this a known issue or maybe I made a mistake in the shield insertion? What's the function of round connector from the gd3 shield? If it's not too important, I can cut it off from the shield so that I can test the mega2560 with the gd3 shield.
Thanks,
Brian Wei

The black round connector is audio jack that interfere with Arduino Mega's USB connector.

I de-soldered the audio jack from the GD3 shield and is now able to insert the shield into Arduino Mega2560. After I selected board to Arduino Mega 2560 and downloaded "HelloWorld", there is nothing shown up in the display. Same operation for Arduino Uno works fine.
James, does the GD3 shield is compatible with Mega 2560?
Thanks,
Brian

Got the answer from Q&A page: excamera.com/sphinx/gameduino2/faq.htmlCan the Gameduino 2 work with the Mega2560? Yes, but because the Mega2560 has its SPI pins in a different place, you need to make 3 wire hookups. Connect: pin 11 to pin 51 (MOSI) pin 12 to pin 50 (MISO) pin 13 to pin 52 (SCK)

I (want) using the Gameduino 3 together with an Arduino Mega 2560, but have the same issues that i just see a black screen. GD.begin(~GD_STORAGE) never returns. Any idea where to further search? Pins should be correct Sorry to also ask again in this forum, but i believe i have all research and work done with no success
