How do you play more than one sound at a time? Any more examples of GD.sample and how does it differ from GD.play?

I would also like to know if this is possible (multiple samples playing simultaneously).

Chapter 6 of the book covers GD.sample() and GD.play(). There are two ways to play two sounds simultaneously: - use both fixed sounds (p.67) and samples (p.70). The two systems run concurrently and are mixed in hardware
- use continuous playback (p. 72) and use a software system to mix several audio sources into a single channel. This is quite software intensive
