Salut,
I experienced some problems with calling python.
I have both python27 and python34 installed, but only in c:\Python34\Scripts\ there is gd2asset script.
So I tried a direct call
gd2asset -f dragon7.gd2 dragon7.png
which produces an error 'gd2asset' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
OK, gd2asset has no extension, so it is not associated. I changed the command to
python gd2asset -f dragon7.gd2 dragon7.png
which produces the same error, python not recognized as a program...
OK, probably not in system path... So I call python with a full path
c:\Python27\python.exe gd2asset -f dragon7.gd2 dragon7.png
but it produces the following message:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "gd2asset", line 4, in <module>
__import__('pkg_resources').run_script('gameduino2==0.1.4', 'gd2asset')
ImportError: No module named pkg_resources
When I call a higher version of python:
c:\Python34\python.exe gd2asset -f dragon7.gd2 dragon7.png
it produces yet stranger message for me:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "gd2asset", line 4, in <module>
__import__('pkg_resources').run_script('gameduino2==0.1.4', 'gd2asset')
File "c:\Python34\lib\site-packages\setuptools-7.0-py3.4.egg\pkg_resources.py"
, line 517, in run_script
"""
File "c:\Python34\lib\site-packages\setuptools-7.0-py3.4.egg\pkg_resources.py"
, line 1442, in run_script
This builds a similar dictionary to the zipimport directory
File "c:\Python34\lib\site-packages\gameduino2-0.1.4-py3.4.egg\EGG-INFO\script
s\gd2asset", line 40
print 'ERROR: unknown format "%s"' % format
^
SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'
Thanks to any help, how to call the whole stuff to get gd file...
Or is there any other way to convert png/jpg into gd format? Any online tool maybe...?
Anything more standard then using these obscure tools?
I apologize to python fans, I'm a novice in it, and a bit frustrated one
