Hello Everyone, For some time I've using different types of large format Riverdi displays with teensy board configurations. I used slightly modified versions of our gameduino libraries to read images from on SD card of teeny boards.
Recently I've bought a 7" 1024x600 pixel resolution Riverdi RVT70HSBNWC00-B with BT817Q graphics controller. I managed to connect this display Teensy 4.1 board without much afford. This board has a separate 512MB flash memory with a dedicated QSPI interface to the BT817Q chip. I thought I should try to use this storage space instead of a SD card. I bought an MPSSE SPI Module from FTDI to transfer images using EVE Asset Builder software. Software can now connect to display but cannot see more than 64MB of flash space (which is not important at the moment). I transferred an PNG image to the flash with converting it to RGB565 format. I tried some other image formats too... Asset program tells me that first 4096 bytes are used for an unified.blob file so image file address starts after that. After that point I spend hours to find a way to load this image from flash but could not succeed. There is an OPT_FLASH option for CMD_LOADIMAGE but didn't worked for me. There are some flash related command on Bridgetek BT81X Series Programming Guide but they don't seem to be working with gameduino commands.
It is strange that not Riverdi site or any other Riverdi user shared information about that. Am I trying to do something that can not be done? Should I give up my search for this purpose? There are a lot of experienced users here I would like to ask you about you opinions? Thank you.
