Hi, I've just ordered the Gameduino 2. Now I just need to find out what Arduino to buy to attach it to. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, is it easy to switch between the 4.3inch screen that comes with the Gameduino 2 and a VGA monitor?

Hi! I've ordered a Gameduino 2, too. And I don't know, which Arduino to buy... I want to spend as few as possible. Is Arduino Pro Mini 328 compatible? I need same cables to connect them. I'm a bit confused.. which cables do I need? Or do I have to buy a complete Starter KIT? Thanks for your answer! Greetings, Bonday

All Arduinos are compatible - but some Arduino models don't need any wire hookups, because they have their SPI signals on pins 11,12 and 13. These "no hook-up" Arduinos are: - Uno
- Duemilanove
- anything pin-compatible with the above, e.g. Sparkfun Redboard ($20), Seeeduino ($22.50)
I use the last two a lot these days. Their USB chips are more stable than the Uno's.

I used an Arduino pro mini... mainly because I wanted to see how "thin" it was possible to make a complete Arduino + display. The pro mini fits nicely on the back of the Gameduino as you can see on a picture here: weatherhelge.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/gameduino2-on-net/ . It's not the easiest way to start, though... I started with an Uno.

Actually I have really no wires, just a basic Gameduino board, and have no access to PC. Maybe I need (?) : PC -> mini USB cable -> Seeeduino -> (no more wires?) -> Gameduino 2 Sorry, I'm not an expert, but trying to learn some electronics. Thank you for your help! Have a nice day! Bonday

Yes, that's exactly the setup I use!
