been playing with the gd2 for a couple of days with an atmega1284p but the screen started to behave in a bad way flashing and locking up. did run the selftest and got "ram: failed". did i brick it or is there any hope for it?
edit: was thinking, i used an arduino as isp to burn the code can this have burnt the gd2 as it uses the same pins?

Well, the good news is that if enough of the gd2 is working to be able to display "ram: failed" it is probably not bricked! The Gameduino2 has no onboard flash, which eliminates a lot of possibilities of bricking.
Selftest's "ram" test writes a test pattern over SPI into memory and then verifies it. If there is a problem with SPI, like an intermittent fault, the test will fail.
Because ISP uses the SPI pins, it may not work very well, I believe. Is it possible for you to run the gd2 with the Arduino loaded by the serial bootloader?

now i feel stupid:P after a good night sleep i found the problem... i had a modified library file that i presume got loaded, deleting it and the screen works again. still get "ram: failed" (but i get past it first time i load it after i had a other program on it) in the selftest but everything seems to work.
