Hello world! First of all, I want to thank james for sharing the GD-2 with us! It's tons of fun and I really need more of these fantastic devices! I've started to built an aracade cabinet to get the real 8-bit feeling while playing with it. This it how it looks after a first weekend: (The photos look worse than it actually is, but it still is some way to perfection...) Darth Vader and his fore are used as speaker as long as there is no internal one integrated to the cabinet. And he really looks cool while doing this... Right now, Pacman is playable and I'm trying to get space invaders working in portrait mode, but I fear I'll have to hack the whole graphics routines for that. Joystick-lib is already included and collision of bombs and the player is working too. Perhaps someone has an idea to get space invaders turned by 90° and scaled. Since I really like the "Insert coin" start screen of pacman, I'm thinking of 'tuning' the cabinet to a savings box with a photo sensor to trigger the game to start. But this will be another story... If anybody is interested, I can post the updated stl-files here (or on thingiverse) when they are updated. Just leave a reply ... Best wishes around the world! Falbert.
