J1?

As shocking as it may be to the creators I was actually looking forward to tinkering with the rumored Forth coprocessor on my new GD2. However I'm now realizing that it may be only on the GD1. Is this the case? If it is on the GD2 as it was on GD1 just not supported by GD2 source that's fine I'll take a stab at it using GD1 code as a guide.
Also, I'm assuming that's an FPGA hidden snugly under the ribbon on the GD2 board but I'm afraid to monkey with it to read its ID. If it's not a trade secret could someone say what model it is?

The part under the ribbon cable is actually not an FPGA, it is an FT800 from FTDI. This is a GPU, sound generator and touch screen controller.
So the GD2 does not have a J1.

James, I'm growing ever more intrigued about this J1. Is it absolutely true that the GD2 doesn't have one? I just watched a presentation from FTDI that said the J1 is the FT800's coprocessor. I didn't see that coming. If that's true do you know if there is there a way to program it via the FT800's address space?
