When connecting a small amplifier to the board I detected some high frequent hiss noises, which I couldn't eliminate so far. On the FTDI page I found an App note, AN_252 FT800 Audio Primer, describing this problem. Route cause and solutions in chapter 3.
So two questions from my side:
- is the CSPREAD feature set already during initializing in the GD2 lib? - Is there an easy way/location on the board to cut the ground connection of the Mosfet to create a own analog ground as recommended in the note, without soldering a lot on the board?
I will go to try the hardware proposal with the filters. If successful I will report on this.

Yes, CSPREAD is turned on at startup.
One (possible) workaround is to use the MUTE/UNMUTE sounds. By doing
GD.play(MUTE); you can eliminate most of the background noise.
