hi there,
my gameduino 2 seems to work fine in the normal setup of connecting it straight to the arduino, but when i try and use jump wires i get a white screen.
i have tried all the examples, i have tested the screen and it works fine.
I am wondering, can i force the gameduino2 to use the GPU only by grounding the GPU cs pin and supplying 5v to the SD cs pin?
i have checked all the other pins they are connected correctly
thanks

All pins are here: www.excamera.com/sphinx/gameduino2/index.html#hardwareoptional pins: 2, A0, A1, A2. A white screen suggests that power is getting to the backlight, but the GPU is not getting its wakeup command. Most likely the SPI "wakeup" command is not reaching the GPU. The pins to check for this are: GND, 11, 12, 13, and 8.

Thanks for that james,
with pin 8, can i tie it low? my wiring seems to be correct, i have checked it a few times, but i would like to avoid using pin 8 if possible. can that be done?

Pin 8 needs to be driven by the Arduino - the hi->lo transition signals the start of an SPI command.
