I want to create a gameduino-based console that I will connect to HDMI/VGA display. IOW, I have no need for the bundled display of the gameduino2.
Am I better off just buying a gameduino (i.e., the previous generation of your adapter) and if so, will there be a difference in performance?
Thanks Alex

Only with more reading on various sites did I understand the fuzziness of my question. My answers would now be: 1. it depends on one's needs 2. gameduino and gameduino2 are altogether different units, with the latter much more powerful than its predecessor.
I'll probably try a VGA display < gameduino < Raspberry Pi or Arduino < 4 controllers setup. Someone please tell me if you spot a problem with such a setup.

I had a go at building a VGA adapter for the gameduino2 using a 3 channel DAC for converting digital video data into VGA. everything technically worked, but the problem is that the gameduino2's resolution is so low that i didn't have an LCD that could support it, so all the screens i used simply said "video out of bounds" so basically to get a video out signal from a gameduino2 would require some kind of upscaler and thats where things get complex and expensive. the gameduino1 is great, but it doesn't even begin to compare with the power of the gameduino2.
