Hi all, new to the forum.
I can generally get by pretty well with arduino programming, but the asset builder part of the gameduino is a huge road block for me at the moment.
I have a project in mind, and the gameduino 3 Dazzler is a perfect fit.
The project is fairly simple. I work in a pretty rough and tumble out door industrial environment. We have a large trailer or van that has multiple control panels and screams for controlling a bunch of heavy equipment.
The problem is, with our current software, we can only have 1 window open to show a rather important pressure reading, so generally we use a screen splitter to mirror that one screen to a small monitor clear in the back where an operator can watch it. It’s not ideal, as there are usually about 30 different numbers on that screen, and the operator is just interested in 1 of them.
And we have had no end of troubles with cables, splitters and screens going bad, like I said, it’s a very rough environment.
So my thought was, make a small rugged box that will hold a dazzler, and Bluetooth a serial string to the arduino. The serial string will contain the relevant pressure values. This bypasses all the rats nest and cabling, and also simplifies everything. If the monitor goes bad, just swap it out.
The value updates 1 to 2 times a second, and is in a xxxxx.xx format.
My problem is right now, that the largest standard font included is just too small. I would prefer numbers that are at least an inch tall or more, an LED type font would be ideal.
I have installed the asset converter on my windows machine, and I even got the —help menu to come up, but past that, I am completely at a loss. To say command terminal is a week point for me Is a huge understatement. No clue what to do or how to use it.
Can’t seem to find any tutorials, am I not looking in the right place?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Joe
