Custom board options? None RGB666 LCD panels

Is it possible to wire up the ft810 to none parallel rgb666/888/565 lcd panels? Such as the ili9341 serial interface? Its not really something is saw in the datasheets. But I do wonder if its possible as the parallel tft panels are becoming harder and harder to find. 

I have some projects in mind that use smaller displays and they are almost exclusively ili9341 type connections, and i would like to use the eve for the UIs

I'm sure the FT810 only drives parallel RGB panels.
