Hi Im Mangy Dog also known as nutsy in some places around the net... Ive been working on a digital speedo design for about a year now and Im trying to make the move away from Nextion displays to an eve based display.
To get an idea of what the UI is aiming for please take a look at one of my recent videos.
Some details on the hardware, The main MCU is an STM32F103 running on the Stm32Duino/Libmaple core.
My EVE display board is a custom but simple design based on the schematic of the hotmcu display. An FT810 attached to a 3.2inch display running at 320*480... The SD card is on a shared i2c bus between the display and the mcu.
Up until now I have been using EVE Screen Designer 3 to build my UI, I have build several working custom gauge widgets, and have the general layout of the elements in place.
The one thing ive been really stuck on for the last several days is trying to import a custom set of fonts... I simply cant work out how to do it. I have read a lot on the programmers guide and ESD3 user guide and I simple cant work out how to do it.
Lightcalama has been recommending to use the GDx library... but I must admit I dont know where to start.
Can the library be integrated into ESD3? Does it have its own wysiwyg editor? Or is it purely a code based designer?
At the moment my biggest issue is getting custom fonts working. Later i can worry about how assets are stored and loaded...
Can anyone help?
