Can the ft800 output sound from the sound synthesizer and the audio playback at the same time? How is it written out to adjust the sound level? The ft800 manual says REG_VOL_PL. I also wanted to know if the touch screen pressure value could be used ?

Yes, they can both run at the same time. REG_VOL_PB controls playback volume (0-255) and REG_VOL_SOUND controls the synthesizer (0-255). You have to make sure that they do not clip, for example by setting them both to 127.
And yes, if your loop calls GD.get_inputs(); then touch pressure is available as GD.inputs.rz - this is the resistance from the touch-screen, so it varies from 0 (maximum pressure) to about 1000.

I was googling for how to control the volume and found this post. However I didn't know how to control those registers. For those in the future that are also looking for a solution, you can use the following code to control the volume of the playback and synthesizer, with the value between 0 and 255:
GD.cmd_regwrite(REG_VOL_PB, 127);
GD.cmd_regwrite(REG_VOL_SOUND, 127);
